What we’re all about & how we came to be

Andrew Scott’s passion for the trade stems from when he fell in love with the sights, smells, commotions and emotions of the kitchen as a humble kitchen porter aged just 13. He went on to earn his stripes in the hospitality and catering world over the next 15 years, working at hotels, restaurants, pubs, bistros and bars across Europe.

By 2003, Andrew realised he had enough entrepreneurial spirit, business savvy, ambition and all-round general sass to go it alone. So he took the plunge, and a further 15 years down the line now owns and operates a number of award-winning catering companies.

While hard work and flair have reaped many rewards, Andrew has had his fair share of challenges and disappointments along the way. One of his ventures pushed him right to the edge, both financially and emotionally, but Andrew is no quitter and has instead used this experience to achieve success elsewhere.

So, duly armed with invaluable knowledge, skill and expertise, Andrew set up Victus Catering and Hospitality Consultancy in 2014 to:

  • Help, support & guide both new & well established businesses
  • Inspire, nurture & develop emerging talent
  • Promote & improve the industry in any way he can

While the consultancy has gone from strength to strength, Andrew’s big personality has attracted the attention of event organisers from large expos and conferences to awards and workshops, and he’s now in demand as a compere, presenter, motivational speaker, judge and even auctioneer across the UK .

He even manages to fit in time to host a radio hospitality show and regular guest appearances on STV’s “Live at 5”!
